Project/Product Description

Introducing ‘The Botanicals’; a collection of decorative panels by Siminetti. Celebrating the natural world, the collection is inspired by the distinctive patterns and graceful forms found in botany and plant life.
The designs bring the essence of lush gardens, enchanting flowers, and graceful vines into your space, infusing projects with the serenity and elegance of nature. Siminetti’s signature Mother of Pearl adorns the panels, with dimensional tones of gold and silver reflecting from every angle.

Materials Used

All of Siminetti's decorative panels, and the panels in The Botanicals Collection, are handcrafted with 100% sustainably sourced Mother of Pearl. Using a combination of freshwater and saltwater pearl, the designs are crafted from shells that are bi-products of the natural pearl industry. Siminetti's decorative panels feature an aluminium honeycomb backing and are all frost-proof, chemical-resistant, and water-absorption-resistant. These are just a few qualities that make them the perfect solution for an array of projects that require durable, long-lasting surfaces. Decorative Panels satisfy a growing need for hygienic surface solutions, without the need for grout our panels offer naturally more hygienic surfaces, the panels are also far easier to clean than traditional tiles due to their resin-sealed, ultra-smooth polished surfaces.

Sustainability

Proud of its ethical and ecological credentials, Siminetti takes the greatest care when sourcing its range of natural products, to ensure they meet strict ecological standards and are sourced from sustainable, farmed locations wherever in the world they are grown. Our Freshwater Pearl is sourced from shells that are grown for the natural Freshwater Pearl industry. The shells become a bi-product that Siminetti sources directly from the farms in Asia. Asia is the largest producer of Freshwater Pearls, producing some 1,500 metric tons per year and rather than simply discarding the shells from this production, Siminetti sources these shells and in conjunction with its partners produces our series of Freshwater Shell mosaics and decorative panels. Our Saltwater Pearl is sourced from Pacific communities that depend on sustainable relationships with the ocean lagoons in which they farm or harvest pearls as a food source.

Our suppliers have for generations respected these shells' origin, growth and delicate nature. Harvesting is done in line with local Government Fishery laws and constant communication with our suppliers ensures we are informed and accountable. We only deal with raw material suppliers who fully understand relevant practices and legislation to ensure consistent, high-quality products. They must hold a fisheries export license when appropriate, comply with biosecurity laws, provide Certificates of Origin and demonstrate evidence of the specific harvest area. Our Saltwater Pearl is sourced from regions such as Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines, the Pacific Islands, Fiji, the Solomon Islands and Tahiti. All our shells grow in specific regions based on water temperatures and climates.
